10 Tiny Habits That’ll Totally Change Your Life

Hi, my people…I’m not here to sell you a 5 AM miracle routine or preach about journaling under the full moon unless you’re into that, in which case, moon blessings, my friend 🌝.

But if you’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “I’m doing everything right, so why does it still feel… meh?” , then this one’s for you.

Sometimes, it’s not the big stuff that changes your life. It’s the teeny, everyday tweaks that quietly shift the gears. So if you’re bored of the usual “life hacks” here are 10 tiny, weird, slightly ridiculous habits that might just shift your energy, your focus, and your entire day.

1. Talk in a British Accent During Stressful Tasks

Folding laundry? Paying bills? have some major thinking to do? Add a dramatic British accent or some desi accent(whatever you prefer). It sounds ridiculous but somehow makes mundane tasks 73% more fun. The “would like some tea” from K3G is from where i picked this up, and became this weird habit, which kinda helps.

2. Rename Your Alarm to Something Uplifting or Hilarious

Instead of “Wake up”, try:

“Today we conquer or at least shower”

“You can sleep when you’re rich.”

“Get up before your neighbours judge you.”

3. Rename Your To-Do list with Ta-Da..!!

i hope it explains itself, yeah yeah its absoluetly silly, i know, but that is what we need more of in todays time. a bit of silly, a bit of “Ta Da”. Now won’t that little name change to your list make you smile.

4. Change Your Phone Lock Screen to a Reminder

Instead of motivational quotes, try:

“You’re doing better than you think.”

“Don’t spiral. Drink water first.”

“No, you don’t need to check Instagram again.”

5. Keep a “Petty Journal” for Things You’d Never Post Online

We all have petty thoughts. Don’t suppress them , write them in a private, judgy little notebook. Vent, giggle, let it go. Emotional detox without drama? Yes, please. The other day I checked the archived section of notes on my phone, Oh boy, did I surprise myself! It was fun to go through my own thouhts and words, which I had almost forgotten. Try it!

6. Switch Hands for One Daily Task

Brush your teeth or eat with your non-dominant hand. It’s weirdly hard and forces your brain to focus. Bonus: you’ll stop doom-scrolling while brushing because now you need two hands just to survive.

7. Declutter One WhatsApp Chat or Email Per Day

It sounds useless until you feel 0.2% lighter every time. Clearing digital clutter is like cleaning your brain’s dusty shelves.

8. Do a “Compliment Bomb” Once a Week

Randomly text 3 people something lovely and unexpected. No reason. Just because. It boosts your mood as much as theirs , treat it like emotional glitter. Go sprinkle!

9. Buy Fresh Flowers or Fancy Fruit Just for Yourself

Not for guests. Not for a photo. Just because you deserve beauty and sweetness in your space. A ₹20 marigold garland or having a bowl of freshly cut fancy fruits feels amazing when it’s intentional. Dragonfruit anyone?

10. Have a “Low Mood Playlist” That Makes You Feel Ridiculous

Forget sad songs, this is a playlist full of nonsense that makes you laugh or dance like no one’s watching. Think: Bollywood item numbers, cheesy 90s pop, or that viral frog remix. I can never not dance on Zhingaat..!!

So there you have it the tiny, slightly odd, totally fun habits that could (quietly) change your life.

Now I’m curious which one are you trying first?
Or do you have a weird little habit of your own that secretly works wonders?

👇 Drop it in the comments,  I promise I won’t steal it (okay, maybe I will… but I’ll give you credit). 😄

  1. Try origami paper art, solving one face of rubic’s cube, learning one line of movie song lyrics, draw/color a small picture, rearrange items in one shelf of closet, play a small games like ludo or snakes/ladders or tangram (offline).
