Hi my people, has the stress been stressing you out too? It is so easy to get caught up in the chaos, always telling ourselves, “After this deadline, I will take a break, once this thing is over, I will catch up with friends, etc etc. but let’s be real, life rarely slows down for us. So why wait when we can do mini recharges right now and feel all nice nice inside.
So check out my list.
- Faces on the Book: Go on Facebook, and check out the albums you uploaded years ago, revisit the memories, the people, the places and most importantly the old you, remind yourself how far you have come and give yourself a pat on the back( ignore the fashion sense) and if you are one of those who deleted their FB page, firstly why would you that, and if you have, dig out the hard copies. Happy nostalging peeps!
- Text thy Love: Send a sweet text to your partner, even if you are in the same room. Between the “bring milk” and “leaving from office” a random “ I am so lucky to have you, you are amazing can light them up like a Christmas tree, even guys. My husband texts me “Good morning beautiful, when he leaves for the office, while I am at my ugliest version in pyjamas and hair flying in all directions, but his texts feel like I just won a beauty pageant. So yeah do it, text right now, I am doing it too.
- Crank it up: Pick a random song you’ve never heard before and really listen to it. Focus on the lyrics, the melody, and how it makes you feel. I don’t really need to tell you the benefits of listening to music, do I? go ahead, hit shuffle on something new, and if you discover a gem, drop the name in the comments section below.
- Eat a Fruit: Yes, I know it’s cliché, but eating a piece of fruit is a simple way to nourish your body and brighten your day. Plus what is wrong in having a healthy gut and glowing skin, okay fine! It won’t happen in a day, but the fruit you eat today, combined with other things will make you happy, and what if your brain decides “Ohh I am actually feeling happy, I should do these things more often and bam! You are fruit lover. You are welcome 🙂
- Clean Your Comb Don’t judge me, but seriously—clean your comb! It might be a small task, but the sense of accomplishment after tidying up even the tiniest thing can give you an unexpected boost of joy.
- Stare Out the Window (Without Your Phone) Just take two minutes to look outside from your balcony or window. No phone, no distractions. Set a timer if you have to. Watch the world around you, breathe, and let yourself reset.
- Simmer Pot Magic Make your home smell like comfort. Boil water, throw in apple slices, cinnamon sticks, and cloves, and let it simmer for about half an hour. The warm, inviting scent will change the entire mood of your space and give you that cozy feeling.
- Stretch It Out Do a quick 10-minute stretch. Your body will thank you, and the burst of energy might surprise you. Get up, roll that neck, do the bend.
- Make Silly Faces in the Mirror Yes, you heard me. Go to the mirror and make the silliest faces you can. It’s impossible not to crack a smile after that! Add a 5 year old cutie, to accompany you if you have one 😛 . they double the fun.
- Give (or Get) a Head Massage If possible, treat yourself to a head massage. Can’t go to the salon? No problem. Ask your partner to trade head massages with you, or just do it yourself. It’s relaxing and instantly calming. I still haven’t met a person who doesn’t like head massages, if you are one of those, go back to your planet!
