Books i have loved and repeated

Hi, my people! It’s been a while—apologies for the radio silence! Life has been a mix of busy and, let’s be real, a little bit of lazy. But here I am, and guess what we’re talking about today? Yep, books! Why, you ask?

So, my 5-year-old boy decided to sit down with a book and asked me to read it to him. I was in the middle of something, so I said, “Later, during bedtime.” But instead of waiting, he just started flipping through the pages, staring at the pictures. And to my absolute shock, he knew what was on every page, not by reading, of course, but by memory! He had memorized every single word just by listening.

Turns out, while he may have inherited his dad’s beautiful long long lashes, he definitely got his love for books from me. Oh yes, he did!

So yes this brings me to our today’s topic, the books I have loved and repeated a million times. I remember the night I read Love Story by Erich Segal. It was nearly 2 a.m., and I was utterly lost in the love between Oliver and Jennifer. When she died, I was clutching the book so tightly, I was howling, sobbing like I’d lost someone close. It was my first ever book heartbreak, and let me tell you, I mourned her death for days. I felt like my heart had shattered.

But then I found my way into the Jewels of the Sun by Nora Roberts, and it was like stepping into a new world—one filled with romance and dreams. Teenage me fell head over heels in love with the idea of love. I couldn’t stop reading, imagining myself in those dreamy, Irish landscapes. Fast forward to now, with my glasses prescription at a solid -5 in both eyes (worth every page!), and I can confidently say I have no regrets.

If you’re like me and love to lose yourself in stories, here are a few of my all-time favourite book recommendations, and if you are not a bookworm like me, it’s never too late to start. I have added links to all the books.

10. A Walk to Remember by Nicholas Sparks
Another classic from Sparks, this story of young love and tragedy will have you crying by the end. It’s a tale of how love can change lives, no matter how short the time. I would recommend the movie as well.

Sadly i couldn’t find this book on Amazon, but I am pretty sure you can get it in any bookstore.

Each of these books has a special place in my heart for different reasons, and I hope you find one (or all!) that speaks to you. Let me know if you pick one up! Happy reading!
